About me

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I live in an old Victorian home with my family and our ever growing menagerie. Being a portrait photographer, I prefer to work with natural available light for individual, children and family portraiture, theater productions, head shots, animals and travel photography.Over the years, my work has been exhibited all throughout the Bay Area.
Photography, to me, is a magic craft. Though I have studied the technical aspects of photography, I know I feel my way through my photographs and am drawn to the challenge of working with people. It is my quiet, passionate way of connecting and immortalizing an equal relationship. When I compose a photograph, the environment, especially light, needs to be subtle, placing emphasis on the portrait subject. Keep it simple....less is more. I like to feel the essence of the subject, allowing intrigue in the background.
Portrait work for me is a cooperative venture...WE create the portrait! According to San Francisco based photographer Jock McDonald....
"Portraiture is a great conversation with a camera present...."
            Oh, for an honest conversation!

My belief is that the customers' needs are of the utmost importance. I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of my business is from repeat customers and referrals.

I would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.
